Method/Steps
1. Positioning
Identify road cracks and use adhesive tape directly for cracks with a width less than 4mm. For severe cracks with a width greater than 4mm, use asphalt to fill the cracks and then use adhesive tape for effective treatment.
2 Cleaning
According to the on-site situation, use a brush and a hair dryer to clean and dry the cracks (joints) that choose to use adhesive tape. Clean the road surface cracks and the road surface within 20cm on both sides of the cracks at the same time, otherwise it will affect the adhesive effect of the adhesive tape. The surface of the crack (joint) must be flat, without protrusions, depressions, looseness, gravel or oil marks, grease and other dirt. If there are pits, they must be filled.
3 seams
Cut a section of surface adhesive tape that is slightly longer than the length of the crack, remove the isolation paper on the back of the adhesive tape, and place the side of the adhesive tape with polypropylene fabric facing up. Press the adhesive tape and both sides of the crack with your fingers. When sticking your fingers slightly, stick the adhesive tape from one end until it covers the entire crack. When sticking, be careful that the crack is in the middle of the adhesive tape and avoid creating air bubbles between the adhesive tape and the road surface as much as possible. In case of irregular cracks, scissors can be used to cut the adhesive tape and follow the direction of the crack for adhesive bonding. At the junction of the adhesive tape, it is advisable to align it tightly.
4 Rolling
After pasting the joint tape on the road surface crack, use an iron roller to press it firmly onto the ground to ensure that the joint tape is integrated with the road surface. There should be no bubbles or wrinkles to ensure that the adhesive tape is fully integrated with the road surface.

After pasting and rolling the seam tape, check if it is fully integrated with the road surface before allowing it to open to traffic.
