　　Retention time refers to the time required for harmful components in waste to undergo oxidation and decomposition under incineration conditions, and then complete harmless substances. The length of retention time directly affects the destruction rate of incineration and also determines the specific size of the furnace. There are many factors that affect the retention time, such as incineration temperature, excess air coefficient, and the degree of mixing of air with waste in the furnace. To ensure the complete decomposition of waste and combustion products, the waste is kept in the incinerator at around 600 ℃ for about 1 hour.

　　Garbage enters the inclined downward grate through the feeding hopper (the grate is divided into a drying zone, a combustion zone, and a burnout zone). Due to the staggered movement between the grates, the garbage is pushed downward, allowing it to pass through various areas on the grate in sequence (when garbage enters another area from one area, it plays a major turning role). By using a fan to extract the foul odor generated by the fermentation and accumulation of garbage in the upper part of the garbage storage pit, it is then heated by a steam (air) preheater and sent into the incinerator as combustion air to ensure that the garbage is dried in a short period of time. Combustion air enters from the lower part of the grate and mixes with garbage; High temperature flue gas generates hot steam through the heating surface of the boiler, and the flue gas is also cooled. After being treated by the flue gas treatment device, the flue gas is discharged.
