Hemlock square evergreen landscape tree with resin; The bark is light red; Branches are slender, flat or drooping, rough due to the presence of persistent leaf bases; Leaf shaped, flat tissue or angular, 2 rows, with stomatal lines on the back; Ball flower solitary; The male peanut is located in the leaf axil and is composed of numerous stamens, each stamen having 2 anthers and a septate structure; Pollen has air sacs or degraded air sac systems; The female bulbous flower grows at the top, upright, with round pearl scales, covered in tiles, about the same length as the bract scales, and has two ovules at the base; The cone is small, long oval shaped, almost sessile, drooping, light green or light purple.
