For valves and joints that may cause leaks, baffles should be installed to prevent LNG injection; A collection tray should be set up below to collect leaked LNG and introduce it into the storage pit through the discharge pipe. When LNG overflows or leaks, it can be concentrated in embankments, retaining walls, or storage pits to prevent LNG from flowing around. For large LNG storage tanks, they should be built underground to keep the liquid level below ground level.

      The storage capacity of embankments, retaining walls, or storage pits should mainly be considered based on the capacity of the storage tank, while also taking into account the influence of winter snow or other factors.
