It is necessary to maintain a temperature zone that makes the cell density and cell diameter small. Using the depressurization method, as the foaming temperature increases, the cell density decreases and the cell diameter increases. Therefore, in order to produce products with high cell density and small cell diameter using the depressurization process, it is necessary to carry out the process at a lower temperature, because a lower saturation temperature can increase the solubility of gas in the polymer, and low temperature can also limit the growth of bubbles. However, the saturation temperature cannot be lower than the glass transition temperature of the polymer/gas system, otherwise it will increase the resistance to bubble nucleation and growth.
