Description :

1. Liquid oxygen storage tanks are generally placed in a safe location near the air separation unit, away from sources of fire, heat, and combustibles.
2. Powder vacuum insulated liquid oxygen storage tank, the inner cylinder is made of stainless steel with good low-temperature performance, and the outer cylinder is made of carbon steel. The interlayer is filled with pearl sand insulation material and evacuated to 3pa to achieve insulation level, in order to prevent severe evaporation and overpressure of liquid oxygen.
3. Pearlescent sand insulated liquid oxygen storage tank, the inner cylinder is made of high-strength alloy aluminum, and the outer cylinder is made of carbon copper. The interlayer is filled with pearlescent sand insulation material of sufficient thickness, and the bottom layer is insulated with foam glass bricks or slag wool of certain thickness to prevent the violent evaporation of liquid oxygen from overpressure. The foundation of liquid oxygen storage tanks should be waterproof and frost resistant to meet the requirements of low-temperature working conditions.
4. The inner wall of the liquid oxygen storage tank should be degreased with carbon tetrachloride. Due to the inner cylinder being made of stainless steel or high-temperature alloy aluminum, argon arc welding is generally used.
5. Both the inner and outer cylinders of the liquid oxygen storage tank must undergo strength and airtightness tests.
6. Overpressure is strictly prohibited in liquid oxygen storage tanks.
In order to reduce the cooling loss of liquid oxygen storage tanks and prevent overpressure due to severe evaporation, powder vacuum insulated liquid oxygen storage tanks must regularly monitor the vacuum degree and tank pressure of the interlayer, and if necessary, use vacuum pumping to increase the vacuum degree of the interlayer. For powder (pearl sand) insulated liquid oxygen storage tanks, the interlayer pearl sand should be filled and filled, and dried with nitrogen to improve the insulation degree.
The liquid oxygen in the liquid oxygen storage tank continues to evaporate, and the concentration of acetylene may increase, resulting in accumulation and precipitation. In order to prevent explosion, the liquid oxygen in the liquid oxygen storage tank should be filled and used as much as possible, and updated regularly to prevent acetylene accumulation. Analyze the acetylene content in liquid oxygen once a week, and if it exceeds the standard, empty the liquid oxygen.
9. Prevent liquid oxygen leakage, freezing damage to facilities, and frostbite to personnel.
10. The liquid oxygen storage tank should maintain positive pressure to prevent the absorption of humid air, which may cause freezing and blockage. Before using the liquid oxygen storage tank, it is necessary to blow dry nitrogen to remove moisture.
11. Pressure gauges, vacuum gauges, liquid level gauges, alarm systems, safety valves, etc. should be regularly calibrated to ensure accuracy, sensitivity, and safety.
12. Oxygen has magnetic induction, and under the action of discharge, it is easy to form highly chemically active ozone, which is a type of explosive excitation energy. Within a radius of 30m around the liquid oxygen storage tank, open flames or electric sparks are strictly prohibited, and explosion-proof electrical appliances must be used.
