Insufficient heat conduction can directly affect the quality of the product. The generation of coking and carbon deposition inside the heat transfer oil boiler can lead to excessive pressure loss in the furnace tube, and in severe coking, it can block the furnace tube; The surface temperature of the furnace tube rises. Due to the much lower thermal conductivity of the coking layer compared to steel, the thermal resistance increases in areas with coking, and the radial temperature gradient of the furnace tube increases. In areas with thick coking layers, hot spots appear on the surface of the furnace tube, affecting its service life; If the surface of the steel pipe is relatively rough, it will reduce the strength of the steel pipe and cause cracking accidents in the furnace tube.

Low boiling and high boiling substances change rapidly, causing poor heat transfer rate, pump cavitation, high steam pressure, system overpressure, and pump seal wear, reducing the oil transmission capacity of oil pipelines, increasing frictional resistance, increasing transportation energy consumption, and sometimes even leading to accidents such as initial condensation and flow stoppage.

Before changing the oil, the heat transfer oil boiler must be cleaned. If the boiler is not cleaned, it will pollute the new oil, reduce its quality, and shorten its service life.
Therefore, after coking and scaling of the heat transfer oil boiler, it is necessary to clean it. And it is necessary to conduct regular tests on the viscosity, acid value, residual carbon, and flash point of the heat transfer oil.
