To solve these difficulties, it is necessary to have a clear understanding of their characteristics. Generally speaking, the characteristics are as follows:
(1) Instability of heat load
The instability of waste heat utilization is determined by the production process. Some production is cyclical, while the emissions of some high-temperature products are intermittent. The source of waste heat in tunnel kilns is the radiation heat from high-temperature bricks, every 40-60 minutes per vehicle. Some production processes may be continuous and stable, but the amount of heat provided by the heat source varies with fluctuations in heat.
(2) Containing dust
The influencing factors include the amount, physical and chemical properties of smoke and dust. Especially when the furnace flue gas temperature is high and the dust content is high, it is more likely to stick and accumulate dust, which may cause serious wear, corrosion, and blockage to the equipment for waste heat utilization. For example, the dust content in oxygen top blown flue gas can reach 80-150g/Nm3, boiling roasting furnace 150-350g/Nm3, fuming furnace 80-160g/Nm3, and so on.

(3) Corrosivity
Some flue gas contains corrosive gases such as SO2, and various metal and non-metal elements in smoke or slag, which may cause low-temperature or high-temperature corrosion to waste heat utilization equipment. For sulfur-containing high-temperature flue gas, when using a fire tube structure, wear-resistant ceramic sleeves should be added to the front tube plate to ensure that the front tube plate is not corroded or cracked; To prevent low-temperature corrosion, the exhaust temperature or ND steel low-temperature heating surface can be increased.
(4) Limitations of the inherent conditions of the installation site
Waste heat utilization equipment is often limited by the inherent conditions of the installation site. Some require certain requirements for the connection of the front and rear process equipment, while others require the exhaust temperature to be within a certain range. When these issues often conflict with waste heat utilization equipment, it is necessary to carefully study and coordinate solutions. For example, RTO waste heat boilers often require desulfurization, denitrification, and dust removal of flue gas at the rear of the waste heat boiler, with an SCR temperature of 350-400 ℃. However, bag filters require flue gas temperature below 200 ℃, which requires more accurate temperature control of the flue gas, posing certain difficulties in the design of waste heat utilization equipment.
