False water levels that do not conform to the above rules are called false water levels. There are three types of false water levels:

　　1. Leakage of gas boiler water level gauge. If there is a leakage on the steam side and the water level is too high; If there is a leakage on the water side, the water level is too low.

　　2. The water level gauge is blocked. Whether it is a blockage on the steam side or the water side, the water level is always high. If the water side of the water level gauge is blocked, the water level will stop fluctuating.

　　When the load of the gas boiler suddenly increases and the air pressure drops, the water level increases for a short period of time.

　　The sudden increase in load and decrease in pressure indicate that the evaporation capacity of the gas boiler is less than the external load. Due to the decrease in saturation temperature, the boiler water vaporizes itself, causing an increase in the volume of steam in the steam water mixture inside the water-cooled wall. This pushes the water from the water-cooled wall into the steam drum, resulting in an increase in water level. On the contrary, when the load suddenly decreases and the pressure increases, the water level decreases for a short period of time.

　　False water level can easily lead to operator's misjudgment, resulting in incorrect operating instructions and serious consequences. Dealing with false water level in gas boilers depends on the operator's experience and strict adherence to regulations.

　　Mastering the false water level formed when the load suddenly increases or decreases is of great help in adjusting the water level and ensuring smooth operation. When there is a false water level during operation, do not adjust it immediately, but wait until the balance between the water level and the evaporation rate of the feedwater gradually changes to be consistent before adjusting.

　　Specifically, when the load suddenly increases, the pressure drops, and the water level suddenly rises, do not reduce the water supply. Instead, wait until the water level of the gas boiler starts to drop before increasing the water supply. When the load suddenly decreases, the pressure rises, and the water level suddenly drops, do not increase the water supply, but wait until the water level starts to rise before reducing the water supply.
