Liquefied natural gas (LNG), mainly composed of methane, is widely recognized as the cleanest fossil energy source on Earth. It is often stored in vacuum insulated storage tanks. The LNG low-temperature storage tank is a double-layer structure, with the inner tank storing low-temperature liquids and withstanding the pressure and low temperature of the medium. The material of the inner tank is made of low-temperature resistant alloy steel 0Cr18Ni9, and the outer shell is the protective layer of the inner tank, maintaining a certain distance from the inner tank to withstand the gravity load of the inner tank and medium, as well as the vacuum negative pressure of the insulation layer. The shell does not come into contact with low temperatures and is made of container steel. The insulation layer is mostly filled with pearl sand and subjected to high vacuum.
