    Description :

      Overview

      The XD-DK800 glass rotor flowmeter is a process detection instrument used to measure the flow rate of single-phase non pulsating fluids (liquids or gases) in enclosed pipelines. It is manufactured using advanced technology, with a lightweight structure, beautiful appearance, and most importantly, high cost-effectiveness, simple installation, easy maintenance, and the ability to replace cone tubes and floats conveniently and quickly.

      This rotor flowmeter is suitable for small flow detection in various industries, such as chemical, petroleum, light industry, papermaking, food, and scientific research departments, and can also be used specifically for users. DK glass rotor flowmeter can provide customers with ordinary, anti-corrosion, panel, alarm and various connection methods (such as sleeve, pneumatic, flange connection, etc.).

      Two working principles

      The XD-DK800 glass rotor flowmeter is a variable area flowmeter mainly composed of a vertically expanding glass cone tube from bottom to top and a float that can move up and down with the flow rate. When the fluid flows through the conical tube from bottom to top, the lift S generated by the kinetic energy of the fluid on the float and the buoyancy A of the fluid cause the float to rise. As the annular flow area between the inner wall of the conical tube and the float increases, the lift generated by the kinetic energy of the fluid on the float decreases accordingly. When the sum of lift S and float A is equal to the weight G of the float itself, the float is in equilibrium and stable at a certain height, which represents the flow rate of the flowmeter. Because there is a certain proportional relationship between the flow rate flowing through the flowmeter and the rising height of the float, that is, with the flow area of the flowmeter, the height position of the float can be used as the brightness of the flow rate.       Six Installation and Use

      install

      1. The flowmeter should be installed vertically (the angle between the centerline of the flowmeter and the plumb line should not exceed 5 °). For newly installed pipelines, the pipeline should be flushed clean before installing the flowmeter. The measured fluid enters from the lower end of the flowmeter and exits from the upper end.

      2. Oil and large particles of dirt should not be mixed in the measured fluid, otherwise it will cause the float to get stuck or block the flow meter passage, affecting the normal operation of the flow meter. If the measured fluid contains large particles or dirt, a filter should be installed upstream of the flow meter as needed.

      3. The pressure of the measured fluid entering the flowmeter must be stable. If the flow rate of the measured fluid is pulsating flow, it will cause the float to fluctuate and cannot be measured normally. A buffer or setting device of appropriate size should be installed upstream of the flowmeter.

      When using the flowmeter, the regulating valve should be slowly opened to prevent the float from suddenly impacting upwards and damaging the glass cone tube.

      The reading position of the float is at the top of the ball float.

      3. Avoid sudden changes in the temperature of the measured fluid during use.

      If leakage is found in the flow meter during use, the inlet and outlet fittings, the pressure nuts of the needle valve, and the top tightening ring at the lower end of the glass cone tube should be tightened (clockwise from left). If the above methods do not work, it is generally due to the failure of the sealing ring and should be replaced.

      If the cone tube and float are contaminated, they should be cleaned in a timely manner.

      6. Regularly check the flow meter for errors. Once the specified tolerance is exceeded, the float and glass cone tube should be replaced or recalibrated.

      When the measured fluid and state (temperature, pressure) are inconsistent with the scale of the flowmeter, the reading must be corrected according to the fluid and state at the time of use.

      8. DK800- () type is generally used for fluid measurement, while DK800- () F type is used for measuring corrosive fluids.
