      2、 Backfilling and compaction of pump pits in integrated sewage pumping stations

      The backfilling of the pump pit should be carried out after the accurate installation of the pump station cylinder.

      The raw materials for backfill soil should be river pebbles, stone sand, gravel soil, and sand. The particle size should not exceed 13-25mm.

      The backfill soil should be backfilled layer by layer, and the height to width ratio of each layer should not exceed thirty centimeters. The compactness of the backfill should comply with the design scheme and the requirements of 6.3 in the "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Foundation Engineering" GB50202.

      The backfill at the inlet and outlet of pit 4 should be compacted. When backfilling the soil layer to a distance of 30 centimeters from the pump head to the top of the wall, it is prohibited to use machinery and equipment such as compactors.

      The quality engineering acceptance of backfill soil should comply with the requirements of the "Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Foundation Engineering" GB50202 and the "Standard for Quality Inspection and Evaluation of Building Engineering" GB50300.
