It is 15-20 times the hydraulic radius of the channel (the higher the measurement accuracy of stable water flow in the straight section), and there should be no overcurrent obstacles (such as water gates, weirs, etc.) within this distance range to ensure the uniform and stable flow state of the water flow at the front end of the probe.
Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter Installation method: divided into conventional installation and bracket installation:
2.1 Conventional Installation:
1. Material preparation: 4 M8 * 60 metal expansion bolts; 1 impact drill, 1 M10 impact drill bit; Wire conduit (length depends on the situation), flexible hose (30-40cm); Several pipe clamps. 2. Installation environment: The water source needs to be turned off and installed when there is no water. The bottom should have a hard foundation (such as a concrete foundation) with low sediment content.
3. Installation:
1) Select a positioning point at the center of the channel leveling, and locate it according to the holes on the L-shaped brackets installed on both sides of the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter.
2) Use M10 drill bit and impact drill to drill holes at the positioning points, and after completion, use metal expansion bolts to fix the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter on the ground,.
1. Material preparation: M8 * 4 stainless steel screws with matching flat washers, spring washers, nuts, 8 pieces; Stainless steel plate with dimensions of 350 * 120 * 2mm (detailed dimensions in the bracket dimensions); The size is 60 * 35mm thick 1mm stainless steel square steel, and the length depends on the site conditions (detailed dimensions are in the bracket size); Two matching fixed or adjustable wrenches; Stainless steel pipe, the length depends on the site conditions; Hose (10-30cm), several pipe clamps. 2. Installation environment: Long term water, water source cannot be turned off, and there is no hard foundation or excessive silt at the bottom.
3. Installation:
1) Use 4 M8 * 4 stainless steel screws to fix the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter on the stainless steel plate.
3) The tail cable of the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter first enters the interior of the square steel, and the tail cable needs to be covered with a hose. The cable should be threaded out through the stainless steel tube. 4) The length of the square steel is cut according to the specific situation, and the installation method is divided into inclined and right angle types.
Sloping type:
The side of the square steel that is not fixed needs to be determined based on the on-site situation, whether to use welding to connect the stainless steel pipe or thread connection.
Precautions for installation of Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter
1. The Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter must be installed horizontally in the middle of a fixed cross-section channel against the direction of water flow, as shown in Figure 7.4.
2. There should be no obstruction in front of the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter probe, otherwise it may cause inaccurate flow measurement.
5. Note that the cable contains a gas tube, and the end of the cable should be placed in a dry place, not in water, which may cause damage to the equipment.
Note: When installing cables, consideration should be given to whether there will be large heavy objects crushing the cables during the flood season, causing cable breakage, water ingress, or cable breakage. The cable cannot be bent, which may cause blockage or rupture of the internal trachea.
6. Before installing the bracket type installation method, it is necessary to understand the changes in water flow in rivers, channels, and wells throughout the year. If there is turbulence, it is necessary to strengthen the fixed position and tighten all assembly components to prevent the loosening of underwater equipment, which may cause measurement errors and equipment damage.
7. In terms of installation methods, it is necessary to understand the installation environment in advance and prepare installation materials according to the actual situation for easy on-site installation.
8、 Usage environment
8.1 Scope of Fluid Use
1. Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter can be used in most fluids, and the more particles and impurities in the fluid, the more accurate the measurement.
2. The fluid in which the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter is located needs to be free of acidity or alkalinity, as the casing of the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter cannot withstand acidity or alkalinity. If the casing accidentally adheres to acidic or alkaline substances, please rinse it with clean water in a timely manner.
3. If there are very few or almost no particles or impurities in the fluid (such as pure water), the instrument measurement may deviate or even fail to measure, so please do not install it in such fluids.
8.2 Installing the Surrounding Environment
If there are a large number of stones in the surrounding area or rolling stones in the water during the flood season, please install isolation protection boards or isolation protection brackets around the equipment.
2. If there are aquatic plants or sunken garbage in the water, they should be dealt with in a timely manner to avoid measurement errors and equipment failures.
