      Working principle of Doppler open channel flowmeter

      The Doppler open channel flowmeter product includes the following sensors: flow velocity sensor, pressure sensor, and temperature sensor. Flow rate sensors are used to measure the velocity of fluid flow, pressure sensors are used to measure water depth, and temperature sensors are used

      The device is used to measure fluid temperature and compensate for sound velocity. By measuring the flow velocity, water level, and cross-sectional size, the cross-sectional flow rate can be determined. In the ultrasonic Doppler flow measurement method, the ultrasonic transmitter is a fixed sound source that travels with the fluid

      The moving solid particles act as "observers" with relative motion to the sound source. Of course, they only reflect the ultrasonic waves incident on the solid particles back to the receiver. The frequency difference between the emitted and received sound waves is the Doppler frequency shift caused by the movement of solid particles in the fluid. Since this frequency difference is proportional to the fluid flow velocity, measuring the frequency difference can obtain the flow velocity and thus the fluid flow rate. Therefore, it is suitable for measuring dirty water and slurry with high impurity content, such as urban sewage, sludge, etc.
