Magnetic separator is one of the widely used and versatile models in industry, suitable for removing iron powder and other substances from recycled powder particles. Magnetic separators are widely used for resource recovery in industries such as wood, mining, kiln, chemistry, and food. Magnetic separators are suitable for wet or dry magnetic separation of materials such as magnetite, magnetite, roasted ore, and ilmenite with particle sizes below 3mm. They are also used for iron removal operations of coal, non-metallic minerals, building materials, and other materials. The magnetic system of magnetic separators is mostly made of ferrite materials or composite with rare earth magnetic steel. Previously, the average magnetic induction intensity on the cylinder surface was 800-4000mT. Currently, due to technological development, magnetic separators can be made into roller shapes, and the magnetic field strength has been increased to 8000mT. This is already the current measured magnetic field strength.
The magnetic separator is mainly composed of six parts: cylinder, roller, brush roller, magnetic system, tank body, and transmission part. The cylinder is made of 2-3mm stainless steel plate rolled and welded into a cylinder, and the end cover is made of cast aluminum or workpiece, connected to the cylinder with stainless steel screws. The motor drives the cylinder, magnetic roller, and brush roller to rotate through a reducer or directly using an infinitely variable speed motor. The magnetic system is an open magnetic system, which is installed inside a cylinder and exposed to the full magnetic field. The magnetic block is mounted on the bottom plate of the magnetic yoke with stainless steel bolts, and the shaft of the magnetic yoke extends outside the cylinder, with a crank arm fixed at the end of the shaft. Pulling the crank arm can adjust the magnetic system angle, and after adjusting it appropriately, it can be fixed with a pull rod. The working area of the tank is made of stainless steel plates, and the frame and other parts of the tank are welded with ordinary steel.
