Spiral classifier
The classifier is one of the important beneficiation equipment in mineral processing, and the commonly used one is the spiral classifier. Spiral classifiers mainly include high weir single helix and double helix, low weir single helix and double helix, submerged single helix and double helix classifiers, with high weir and submerged spiral classifiers being the most commonly used.
Scope of application of spiral classifier
Graders are widely used in mineral processing plants, such as those called diversion to plant beneficiation, ball closed-loop processes, or gravity for ore grade and size classification of fine clay, metal particles, and pulp in beneficiation processes, as well as for desliming, dewatering, and other operations in washing operations.
Spiral classifier structure
The classifier is mainly composed of a transmission device, a spiral body, a groove body, a lifting mechanism, a lower support (bearing shell), and a discharge valve.
Working principle of spiral classifier
The spiral classifier relies on the principle that solid particles of different sizes and densities have different settling velocities in liquids. Fine particles float in water and overflow, while coarse particles settle at the bottom of the tank. A classification device that uses a spiral to push upwards and discharge for mechanical classification. It can filter the material powder ground in the mill, and then use a spiral blade to screw the coarse material into the feed inlet of the mill, and discharge the filtered fine material from the overflow pipe. The base of the machine is made of channel steel, and the body is welded from steel plates. The inlet head and shaft head of the spiral shaft are equipped with pig iron sleeves, which are wear-resistant and durable. The lifting device is available in both electric and manual modes
