　　1. Overview:

　　(1) Used for measuring associated gas in the crude oil production process, it is primarily installed at the natural gas outlet of the upper part of the oil separator. After the separated natural gas is measured, it is mixed into the gathering pipeline and transported to the transfer station. Due to the presence of certain amounts of light hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, water and other media in associated gas, the saturated components mentioned above will condense from natural gas with changes in temperature and pressure. When the content is less than 15%, the measurement accuracy is ≤± 5%. Therefore, this flowmeter is widely used in crude oil production sites, accounting for 95% of gas flowmeters.

　　(2) Spiral vortex gas flowmeter is used for measuring natural gas storage and transportation in crude oil transfer and gathering stations after being treated by oil gas water three-phase separators. When the content of natural gas, light hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, water and other media is less than 5%, the measurement accuracy is ≤± 3%.

　　(3) Spiral vortex gas flowmeter is used for measuring the natural gas consumption of energy consuming equipment such as steam boilers and hot water heating furnaces in crude oil gathering and transportation stations. The steam and hot water generated by the above heating equipment are used as energy carrying working fluids for heat tracing and insulation in crude oil storage and transportation. Due to the purity of natural gas, the measurement accuracy is ≤± 1.5%.

　　2、 Application:

　　Spiral vortex flowmeter integrates flow rate, temperature, and pressure detection functions, and can automatically compensate for temperature, pressure, and compression factor. It is an ideal instrument for gas measurement in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power, and metallurgy. Can be used for various gases such as coal gas, air, hydrogen, natural gas, nitrogen, liquefied petroleum gas, hydrogen peroxide, flue gas, methane, butane, gas, biogas, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, acetylene, oxygen, compressed air, argon, toluene, benzene, xylene, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, ammonia, etc.

　　3、 Installation:

　　Sensors can be installed in vertical, horizontal, or any inclined position according to the flow direction indicator;

　　When the pipeline is long or close to the vibration source, supports should be installed upstream and downstream of the flowmeter to eliminate the impact of pipeline vibration;

　　The installation location of the sensor should have sufficient space for the inspection and maintenance of the flowmeter, and should meet the environmental requirements of the flowmeter;

　　Avoid interference from strong external magnetic fields;

　　When installed and used outdoors, there should be a cover to avoid direct sunlight and rainwater erosion, which may affect the service life of the instrument;

　　When conducting pipeline pressure testing, attention should be paid to the pressure measurement range of the pressure sensor equipped on the intelligent flowmeter to avoid damaging the pressure sensor due to overpressure.

　　Attention should be paid to the influence of installation stress. The upstream and downstream pipelines of the flowmeter should be coaxial, otherwise shear stress will be generated.

　　The installation location of the flowmeter should consider the thickness of the sealing gasket or install an elastic expansion joint on the downstream side.

　　Before installing the flow meter, the welding slag and other debris in the pipeline should be removed first.

　　When put into operation, the upstream and downstream valves of the flowmeter should be slowly opened to avoid sudden rapid airflow and damage to the starter.
