VOCs is a general term for volatile organic compounds, mainly including non methane total hydrocarbons (alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatic hydrocarbons), oxygen-containing organic compounds (aldehydes, ketones, alcohols, ethers, etc.), halogenated hydrocarbons, nitrogen-containing compounds, sulfur-containing compounds, etc. Due to the volatility and active nature of VOCs, they can participate in atmospheric photochemical reactions to produce harmful substances, causing great harm to the environment and humans.
There are two sources of VOCs, namely natural sources and anthropogenic sources.
Anthropogenic sources: mainly industrial emissions and domestic emissions.
