The 2202 Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) online analyzer is a fully automatic COD online analyzer based on the national standard method - determination of chemical oxygen demand using the dichromate method. Through the oxidation-reduction reaction inside the mixed solution formed by water sample, potassium permanganate, Liu Suan silver (as a catalyst to oxidize straight chain aliphatic compounds more fully) and concentrated Liu Suan under high temperature and high pressure environment, Cr (VI) in the solution is reduced to Cr (III), resulting in a change in the color of the mixed solution. The degree of color change of the solution corresponds to the chemical oxygen demand (COD) of the water sample, and the instrument can directly measure the COD value of the water sample through optical signals. The chloride ions in the water sample are the main interfering substances, and the interference of chlorine can be eliminated by adding mercury content to chelate the chloride ions in the water sample.
