　　1. PHY series storage tank pressure type foam proportioning device should be firmly fixed on the concrete foundation with anchor bolts according to the installation dimensions of this manual. The device is installed indoors.

　　2. The inlet and outlet pipelines are connected according to the size of the inlet and outlet flanges of this device.

　　3. The length of the drainage pipe is determined on-site based on existing building facilities, sewer locations, and other factors.

　　4. After installation, a system sealing test should be conducted. There should be no leakage in the storage tank and pipeline, and the safety valve should not be activated first.

　　Structure and working principle

　　The PHY series pressure type proportioning device for storage tanks adopts a combination of storage tanks and proportioning mixers, consisting of a tank body (ordinary or diaphragm type), a mixer assembly, an inlet pipe assembly, an outlet pipe assembly, a discharge pipe assembly, etc.

　　When the pressure water of the fire pump enters the proportional mixer along the water supply pipe, a small part of the pressure water flows into the foam concentrate storage tank through the water inlet pipe, and the foam in the tank (or in the diaphragm) is discharged by hydraulic pressure. The foam liquid enters the pressure proportional mixer through the liquid outlet pipe, forms a mixture with water in the specified proportion in the mixer, and flows out of the mixer, and then is sent to the foam production equipment through the mixture pipe, and sprays foam to extinguish the fire (see Figure 2). The device is set to automatically release pressure when the water pressure exceeds 1.2 MPa to ensure the safety of the device.

　　Ordinary type:

　　Since the overflow ring is installed above the tank, the pressure water flowing into the tank along the water inlet pipeline can slowly flow out from the top of the tank, and the water and foam liquid will not be rapidly stirred, so the lower part of the water in the foam agent with large specific gravity and water can be kept to meet the requirements of the proportioner to mix foam liquid and water in proportion.

　　Diaphragm type storage tank:

　　Since the storage tank is equipped with a high-strength rubber film, the foam concentrate stored during use will not contact with water, and the remaining foam concentrate after each use will not become invalid. In addition, the rubber membrane with stable performance can also store various light water foam stock solutions.
