Description :

1. Indoor fire hydrant
Indoor fire hydrants are interfaces with valves that supply water to the fire scene through indoor pipe networks. They are fixed indoor fire-fighting facilities for factories, warehouses, high-rise buildings, public buildings, and ships. They are usually installed in fire hydrant boxes and used in conjunction with fire hoses, water guns, and other equipment. Pressure reducing and stabilizing fire hydrants are one of them.
2. Outdoor fire hydrant
Outdoor fire hydrants are water supply facilities installed on the fire water supply network outside buildings, mainly used for fire trucks to draw water from the municipal water supply network or outdoor fire water supply network to extinguish fires. They can also be directly connected to water hoses or water guns to discharge water for extinguishing fires.
Therefore, outdoor fire hydrant systems are also one of the important fire-fighting facilities for extinguishing fires.

placement location
1. Fire hydrants should be placed in public shared spaces such as corridors or halls, usually within the walls of these spaces, and should not be decorated in any way. They should be clearly marked (indicating "fire hydrant") and no obstacles should be placed in front of them to avoid affecting the opening of the fire hydrant door.
2. Fire hydrants are generally not installed in rooms (such as private rooms), which does not comply with fire safety regulations and is not conducive to timely rescue by firefighters.
For indoor use
1. Open the fire hydrant door and press the internal pump start alarm button (the button is used to start the fire pump and sound the alarm).
2. One person connects the gun and water hose and rushes towards the ignition point.
3. Another person connected the other end of the water hose to the aluminum mouth of the faucet.
4. Open the valve counterclockwise and water will spray out. Note: When an electrical fire occurs, it is necessary to ensure that the power is cut off.
Outdoor use
1. Use a wrench to open the water bag connection switch of the underground fire hydrant.
2. Connect the fire hose.
3. Use a wrench to open the water outlet valve switch of the underground fire hydrant.
4. Connect the hose mouth and water nozzle.
5. At least two or more people holding water spray guns should spray water onto the fire source until it is extinguished.

Key points for selection
1) Previously, underground fire hydrants were used in cold regions, while above ground fire hydrants were preferred in non cold regions. If conditions permit, anti-collision fire hydrants can be used for above ground fire hydrants. When using underground fire hydrants, there should be clear markings. Now, with the emergence of outdoor direct buried telescopic fire hydrants, their functions are better than above ground ones in terms of collision avoidance and anti freezing effect; Compared with the underground type, there is no need to build an underground well, direct burial installation is simpler, and operation on the ground is more convenient and fast. The interface of the outdoor buried telescopic fire hydrant can rotate 360 °.
2) Outdoor above ground fire hydrants should have one diameter of 150mm or 100mm and two outlets with a diameter of 65mm. Outdoor underground fire hydrants should have one nozzle with a diameter of 100 and one with a diameter of 65mm.
3) The protection radius of outdoor fire hydrants should not exceed 150m, and the spacing should not exceed 120m.
4) Outdoor fire hydrants should not be more than 2 meters away from the roadside and should not be less than 5 meters away from the exterior wall of the house.
5) When the building is within a 150m radius of municipal fire hydrant protection and the fire water consumption does not exceed 15L/s, outdoor fire hydrants may not be installed.
6) Outdoor fire hydrants should be evenly arranged around high-rise buildings and should not be concentrated on one side of the building.
7) The distance between the outdoor fire hydrant of civil air defense engineering and the entrance of civil air defense engineering should not be less than 5m.
8) The outdoor fire hydrant in the parking lot should be installed along the perimeter of the parking lot, and the distance from the nearest row of cars should not be less than 7m, and the distance from the gas station or garage should not be less than 15m.
9) Outdoor fire hydrants should be installed in locations that are convenient for fire trucks to use.
