      Structural features and working principle

      1. The structural composition of a fixed fire monitor: The fixed fire monitor mainly consists of a connecting base, a bracket inlet pipe, a rotating body, and a nozzle (including:

      Water outlet pipe, water inlet pipe, double handle), monitor handle, etc. The water monitor head is DC spray type (see Figure 1 for details);

      2. The working principle of a fixed fire monitor:

      a、 Direct current: After passing through the fixed fire monitor body, the water flows in a circular flow with the stabilizer and is sprayed from the muzzle, forming a solid water column at a certain distance;

      b、 Spray: after the water flows through the fixed fire monitor body, the angle between the water flow and the current stabilizer changes by rotating the monitor head, and the water is sprayed from the muzzle to form a foggy water flow.

      Explanation of the Performance Curve of Fixed Fire Cannon:

      In order to better serve users and fire engineering designers, this manual provides curves of the range, firing height, and reaction force of fixed fire monitors of various specifications when spraying different media at different flow rates. When selecting, the rated flow rate of the fixed fire monitor should be used as the basis, and various operating points within the pressure range of the fixed fire monitor should be considered for selection. Here are some examples based on the performance curve:

      1. According to Table 2, the flow rates of fixed fire monitors with different flow specifications can be determined at different injection pressures.

      For example, according to Table 2, the 50 type fixed fire monitor has a jet pressure of 50L/S at 1.0 MPa.

      2. According to Table 3, it can be found that under the conditions given in GB19156 "General Technical Conditions for Fixed Fire Gun" 7, 8, and 1 (fixed fire gun elevation angle of 30, downwind speed ≤ 2m/s), the range of fixed fire guns with different flow specifications can be determined at different injection pressures.

      3. According to Table 4, the firing height of fixed fire monitors with different flow specifications at rated pressure and different elevation angles, as well as the horizontal distance from the firing point to the muzzle, can be determined.

      4. According to the flow specifications and actual working pressure of the fixed fire monitor, the reaction force under this working condition can be determined. When selecting and designing the fixed fire monitor, the reaction force under working pressure can be used as the basis for basic design. For example, according to Table 5, the reaction force of the 50 type fire water bubble under a working pressure of 1.0MPa is 2.5KN. If a working pressure of 1.6MPa may occur in this state, the reaction force of 4.3KN should be used as the basis for basic design.
