Zhengfan Electric Power Tempered Glass Insulators National Standard U100B/127 Pollution resistant Ordinary Type
Application of glass insulators:
Due to the high mechanical strength of the surface layer of glass insulators, there are no cracks on the surface. The electrical strength of glass generally remains constant throughout the entire operation period, and its aging process is much slower than that of porcelain. Therefore, glass insulators are mainly scrapped due to self damage, which occurs within the first year of operation. However, the disadvantages of porcelain insulators only begin to emerge after a few years of operation.
By using glass insulators, it is possible to eliminate the periodic preventive testing of live insulators during operation. This is because every type of damage to tempered glass can cause damage to the insulator, which is easily noticed by operators during line patrols. When the insulator is damaged, glass fragments near the steel cap and iron feet get stuck, and the mechanical strength of the remaining part of the insulator is sufficient to prevent the insulator string from breaking off. The self breakage rate of glass insulators is one of the important indicators for measuring product quality, and it is also the quality basis for evaluating bids in current transmission engineering bidding and tendering.

Glass insulator: A device used to support and insulate wires is called an insulator. The insulator device is made of glass and is called a glass insulator; The most widely used in power lines currently is tempered glass insulators.
Insulators are generally made of glass and porcelain. It is mainly used to fix wires to electrical poles and insulate wires from electrical poles. Insulators are one of the key components of high-voltage transmission lines, and their performance directly affects the operational safety of the entire transmission line. Glass insulators are widely used due to their zero value self breaking and easy maintenance characteristics.
The main function of an insulator is to firmly support and fix the current carrying conductor, forming good insulation between the current carrying conductor and the ground. The insulator (commonly known as a porcelain bottle) consists of two parts: a porcelain part and a metal fitting, which are glued together with cement adhesive. The porcelain part ensures good electrical insulation strength of the insulator, while the metal fitting is used to fix the insulator.
The local overheating caused by flashover due to voltage shock will not cause the rupture of the tempered glass body of the insulator. All external factors will have an impact on the performance of the insulator. Therefore, higher requirements are also put forward for the design of glass insulators. The design requirements of glass insulators need to be treated strictly and have a rigorous design and practical foundation.

Transportation and precautions:
(1) Composite insulators should have good moisture-proof, anti vibration, anti rust, anti-theft and other protective measures to ensure the safe delivery of composite insulators to the site without damage due to the above reasons.
(2) Composite insulators with voltage levels of 330kV and above should be packaged in appropriately sized, rainproof, and rodent proof cylinders, and the end caps at both ends should be firm and reliable.
(3) The packaging of composite insulators should have sufficient strength to withstand handling during transportation, on-site storage, and installation.
(4) Suitable buffering measures should be installed inside the packaging tube to prevent damage or deformation during transportation and handling. All these materials should have chemical stability and waterproofness, and should not adhere to composite insulators or corrode them during outdoor storage.
(5) To ensure the safe arrival of goods at their destination, all packaging boxes should have correct, clear, and secure markings.
