      Purpose of the experiment:

      The comprehensive chemical production line is divided into three types of shell and tube heat exchangers according to the flow state of the shell side fluid: transverse flow, longitudinal flow, and spiral flow. Traditional baffle heat exchangers have lateral fluid flow in the shell side, which results in strong erosion of the heat transfer tubes. However, it is prone to flow and heat transfer dead zones, and the heat transfer area cannot be fully utilized. The flow resistance is high, and scaling is easy to occur. Moreover, when the flow velocity of the shell side fluid is high, induced vibration damage is prone to occur, which limits its application; The baffle rod heat exchanger achieves longitudinal flow of shell side fluid, exhibiting better heat transfer, low flow resistance, anti vibration and anti scaling performance. However, it also has the defects of insufficient compactness and poor heat transfer effect under low heat conditions; The spiral baffle heat exchanger realizes the spiral flow of shell side fluid, with a relatively smooth change in fluid velocity, and can effectively eliminate dead zones and backmixing phenomena.
