    Description :

      The GPZ (KZ) series seismic basin rubber bearings are based on the transportation industry standard "Basin Rubber Bearings for Highway Bridges" (standard number JT391-1999) and the seismic design code for highway engineering (JTJ004-89), adding energy dissipation and damping measures to the basin rubber bearings.

      Installation method of GPZ series bowl bearings on bridges

      1. Adopting welding connection method: When the construction unit constructs the upper and lower parts of the bridge during construction, steel plates larger than the top and bottom plates of this series of supports should be embedded in the installation position of the pot type rubber bearings, and reliable anchoring measures should be taken. After the pot shaped support is in place, use intermittent welding to weld the top and bottom plates of the support together with the embedded steel plate.

      2. Using anchor bolt connection method: Connect the support to the upper and lower structures of the bridge with anchor nuts. The above two methods can also be mixed, such as using anchor bolts to connect supports and beams, and welding to connect piers and abutments. When using pre embedded anchor bolt holes for anchor bolt connection, it is recommended to use epoxy resin mortar instead of grouted concrete, with a mix ratio (by weight) of epoxy resin (6101) 100, dibutyl grease 17, ethylenediamine 8, and sand 250.

      Precautions for installation of GPZ bowl type rubber bearings

      1. Firstly, set up rubber bearing pads on the top surface of the pier or platform where GPZ basin type bearings are to be installed.

      2. In addition to meeting the design requirements for elevation, in order to ensure the performance of GPZ rubber bearings, it is necessary to ensure the horizontal plane in three directions.

      3. Before installing the support, the box should be unpacked for a comprehensive inspection and cleaning. Remove oil stains, especially the relative sliding surface between stainless steel and filled polytetrafluoroethylene plate, and carefully wipe it clean with alcohol. Other components of the support should also be wiped clean, and rust proof oil should not be applied inside the support.

      4. During installation, it is necessary to ensure that the centerline of the bowl support coincides with or remains parallel to the centerline of the main beam.

      5. It is necessary to ensure that the upper and lower components of the GPZ bowl type rubber bearing are aligned in the longitudinal and transverse directions, or due to the temperature difference between installation and design temperature, the distance between the vertical and lower components of the bearing must be equal to the calculated value

      6. If a system conversion is implemented in a continuous bridge, insulation measures must be taken between the rubber bearings and cement mortar blocks to prevent damage to the filled PTFE sheets and rubber blocks.
