Polysulfide sealant is a sealant synthesized by reacting liquid polysulfide rubber as the main component with vulcanizing agents, accelerators, and reinforcing agents. Polysulfide sealant is also divided into single and double components, with excellent properties such as oil resistance and weather resistance, and has good bonding effects with most materials. It is widely used for sealing metals and glass, as well as for concrete joints in water tanks, dams, bridges and tunnels.
Product features of polysulfide sealant:
l、 Adhesive properties: Polysulfide sealant has good adhesion to cement, steel, glass, wood, natural stone, etc. Low modulus and high elongation polysulfide sealant should be used in general construction and water conservancy projects, with a bonding strength of ≥ 0.2Mpa and elongation of ≥ 300%.
2. Water resistance: Polysulfide sealant has a stable effect on seawater, tap water, and distilled water, with relatively little weight change on seawater (containing salt).
3. Acid and alkali resistance: Polysulfide sealant is not resistant to concentrated acids and alkalis. But it is still stable to dilute, alkaline, and various salts.
4. Heat aging resistance: Polysulfide sealant has excellent heat aging resistance and can work for a long time under conditions of 40 ℃ to 120 ℃.
5. Good radiation resistance: The polysulfide sealant has excellent resistance to X-rays.
Service life of polysulfide sealant
There are two types of packaging for polysulfide sealant on the market, one is cardboard packaging: each box has a net weight of 25kg, including 5 barrels of white material and 1 barrel of black material (containing 5 bags inside). Another type is the packaging of Tietong, with a net weight of 25kg per barrel, consisting of a large barrel of white material and a barrel of black material (containing 5 bags).
