      1、 Overview of Spiral Centrifugal Pump Products

      In 1957, the screw pump was born in South America, realizing the dream of non-destructive and fully automatic transportation of live fish. As a result, the screw pump became a great invention in the field of water pumps in the 20th century. At present, it is widely used for conveying activated sludge, so we call it a spiral activated sludge conveying pump.       2、 Characteristics of Spiral Activated Sludge Transport Mud Pump

      Compared with traditional mud pumps, the structural characteristics of activated sludge conveying mud pumps determine that they have the following performance advantages:

      1. Large solid diameter

      The rotation of the spiral impeller forms a large channel, which can transport liquids containing large particles. Compared with traditional centrifugal impellers with similar outer diameters, the diameter can be greatly increased. A pump with an imported diameter of 100mm can pass solid particles with a diameter of 75mm.

      2. The screw pump has good unobstructed performance and can truly transport fiber materials without blockage

      The impeller of the activated sludge conveying mud pump has a large diameter, coupled with guiding and spiral propulsion effects, making it highly capable of conveying liquids containing large particles and fibrous substances, as well as high viscosity and high concentration liquids. Especially long fiber objects can pass smoothly.

      3. Spiral pump with low turbulence and flexible conveying, good non-destructive performance

      The solid-liquid two-phase flow gradually advances, with no sudden change in flow direction and smooth flow. The screw pump has little damage to the transported objects and can transport live fish, vegetables, fruits, etc. Especially recently, it is particularly suitable for transporting activated sludge and can maintain the characteristics of activated sludge.

      4. Energy loss and impeller wear are caused by turbulent water flow, rapid changes in flow direction, and local high flow velocity, while the impeller of the activated sludge conveying pump does not exhibit these phenomena. Therefore, it is possible to:

      (1) Spiral pumps save energy. Compared with single channel impeller pumps, they can save 5% -20% of energy. Compared with vortex pumps, spiral pumps can save 50% -60% of energy, which can greatly reduce operating costs; (2) Reduce pump wear, lower maintenance and repair costs, and minimize downtime.

      5. Steep Q-H performance curve

      The curve of the spiral pump is steep and inclined, and the flow rate changes very little relative to the head variation, ensuring stable operation. Generally, the Q-H curve of a centrifugal pump is relatively gentle, especially for low specific speed pumps, it is difficult to achieve a steep curve.

      6. No overload power curve

      The power curve of the screw pump is flat, and the back of the curve sinks. During normal operation, there will be no motor overload; However, the power curve of traditional centrifugal pumps tends to rise at the back, requiring valve closure to start, and there may be motor overload issues.

      7. Spiral pump efficiency

      Spiral pumps are 10% to 20% higher than swirl pumps and 5% to 10% higher than ordinary impurity pumps. Their efficiency is not much different from that of general centrifugal water pumps (about 5% lower), especially for small spiral centrifugal pumps, which can reach an efficiency of 60% to 70%, while general small centrifugal pumps only have an efficiency of 40%.

      The hydraulic flow channel of the spiral mud pump is very smooth and the diameter is large, which reduces the recirculation of liquid in the pump. Therefore, the efficiency of the spiral pump is high, the motor power is small, the energy consumption is low, and the maintenance cost is greatly reduced.

      8. The required cavitation allowance for the screw pump is low

      The shutdown water level of the spiral mud pump is low, and the newly introduced pre rotation system can even extract water from the bottom of the suction tank. Even if local cavitation occurs, the pump can still work normally and can pump liquids containing gas. Spiral sludge pumps have better self-priming performance than centrifugal pumps, so they also have self-priming performance as self-priming pumps.
