      The total nitrogen in water mainly comes from the decomposition products of nitrogen-containing organic compounds in domestic sewage by microbial action, industrial wastewater such as coking and ammonia synthesis, and agricultural drainage. When the total nitrogen content in water is high, it exhibits toxic effects on fish and poses varying degrees of harm to humans. Measuring the total nitrogen content in water helps to evaluate the pollution and self purification status of water bodies, therefore total nitrogen is an important indicator for characterizing water quality pollution.

      2、 SZ-TN Total Nitrogen (TN) Online Automatic Monitoring Instrument Product Principle:

      In the presence of potassium persulfate, nitrogen-containing compounds in the water sample undergo high digestion and are completely converted into xiaosuan salt nitrogen. After cooling to room temperature, they react with the indicator to form a colored complex. The analyzer detects this color change and converts it into the total nitrogen value for output. The amount of colored complex generated is equivalent to the total nitrogen content. This method is applicable to wastewater with total nitrogen in the range of 0-50mg/L. Excessive calcium and magnesium ions, residual chlorine, or turbidity may interfere with the measurement.
