MSE 100 is recommended as a base material for high-temperature resistant coatings under ambient temperature and moisture curing conditions. Used in conjunction with suitable heat stable pigments and fillers, SILRES® MSE100 is the preferred choice for room temperature curing materials. The curing speed depends on the choice of catalyst and the relative humidity of the environment. After application, drying, and baking, SILRES® is added; MSE100 coating can withstand up to 650 ℃ (1200 ℉) while maintaining adhesion.

Application:
MSE 100 can be applied to various coatings that tend to cure at room temperature first, with a heat resistance range between 200 ℃ (400 ℉) and 650 ℃ (1200 ℉). In many applications, its purpose is to provide anti-corrosion performance for steel or aluminum materials. If zinc rich ethyl silicate is chosen as the primer, its corrosion resistance can be further enhanced. The upper limit of heat resistance depends on the coating formula, especially the pigments used.
