Description :
Plate and frame filter press is a mechanical device that was first applied in chemical dehydration. The plate and frame are arranged alternately, and filter cloth is covered on both sides of the filter plate. The plate and frame are compressed by a clamping device, forming a pressure filtration chamber between the plate and frame. There are small holes in the middle of the upper end of the plate and frame, which are compressed to form a channel. The sludge pressurized to 0.2~0.4MPa enters the pressure filtration chamber through this channel. The surface of the filter plate is engraved with grooves, and the lower end is drilled with a hole for discharging the filtrate. Under pressure, the filtrate is discharged from the filter machine through the filter cloth, along the grooves and holes, to dehydrate the sludge. Plate and frame filters have the advantages of high filtration driving force, high solid content of filter cake, clear filtrate, high solid recovery rate, and low consumption of conditioning drugs. They are still widely used in some small-scale sewage treatment plants.
