Description :
Compression spring reinforcement
The circular springs are individually fed into the shot blasting room through a continuous conveyor chain system. The shot blasting room is equipped with a set of parallel roller tracks, which are reinforced while continuously rolling, driving the circular springs to rotate and move forward. This rotation method allows high-speed pellets to pass through the various rings of the circular spring and hit the metal surface of the inner ring, which is precisely where the stress of the circular spring is most concentrated.
Plate spring reinforcement
A continuous shot blasting strengthening equipment can be used to strengthen the plate spring one by one, exposing the geometric concave surface of the plate spring to high-speed shot flow. A typical model includes a throwing head for ejecting the top of the leaf spring, a throwing head installed on the side, and spraying the left and right sides of the leaf spring at the same time. The passing speed of this standard leaf spring strengthening equipment is 10 feet per minute. If a higher production speed is required, the number of throwing heads can be increased and the motor frequency can be adjusted. Under working conditions, the leaf spring is repeatedly subjected to unidirectional bending stress, so it is sometimes strengthened by stress. During the strengthening process, simulate the situation where the leaf spring will be subjected to "stress strengthening" during future use, and apply a "static stress" in the direction of bearing the load while undergoing shot peening strengthening. After the reinforcement is completed, release the applied static stress. Experimental results have shown that stress strengthening can further extend the service life of leaf springs compared to conventional strengthening.
Suspension spring reinforcement
Thanks to the high stress lightweight design, the weight of suspension springs has been greatly reduced in recent years, and it is very common for the stress of suspension springs in new car models to be greater than 1000Mpa. The service of the spring under such high stress has exceeded the limit that the material can withstand, so it must be supplemented with other strengthening methods (such as blasting/shot blasting).
Polishing/shot peening is the most effective reinforcement method for suspension springs. After appropriate shot peening, the fatigue life of high stress springs can be increased by more than 5 times. Currently, steel wire cutting pellets are mostly used for polishing/shot peening of suspension springs, and multiple shot peening processes (with different pellet diameters) are widely used in the process. The compressive stress intensity and depth on the surface of the spring are important indicators for measuring the effectiveness of shot peening. Good shot peening surface stress should be at least -600Mpa or above, and can reach -800Mpa at a distance of 50um from the surface. The surface compressive stress of stress peened springs can reach -800Mpa or above, and can reach -1200Mpa at a distance of 50um from the surface
