UV three proof adhesive is a single component UV curable protective coating designed specifically for printed circuit board components (PCBA). It mainly solves the problems of short circuit, corrosion, and leakage that electronic products are prone to in harsh environments such as humidity, salt spray, and dust. By forming a tough and transparent protective film, it effectively isolates the corrosion of sensitive electronic components from the external environment, significantly improving the reliability and service life of the product, especially suitable for electronic assembly conditions that require fast assembly line operations.

The UV three proof adhesive adopts a modified acrylic resin system, which has excellent electrical insulation performance and chemical corrosion resistance. The typical viscosity range is between 300-800 CPS, which is convenient for spraying or brushing construction. Under the irradiation of a 365nm ultraviolet lamp, the surface curing time only takes 3-10 seconds, and deep curing can be achieved through moisture or heat assistance. Compliant with environmental certification standards such as RoHS and REACH, solvent-free and low odor. After curing, the adhesive film has high transparency and does not affect component identification. The working temperature range is usually between -40 ℃ and 125 ℃, meeting the tolerance requirements of most industrial grade electronic products.

When selecting, it is important to consider the compatibility of the curing light source and the temperature resistance of PCBA components. UV three proof adhesive is suitable for most conventional electronic components, but for shaded areas (such as the bottom of tall components), it needs to be combined with a secondary curing process or choose a dual curing model with moisture curing. Compared with traditional silicone or polyurethane three proof paints, the biggest advantage of UV three proof adhesive is its rapid curing, which is suitable for large-scale automated production. However, it is not recommended to use it in special scenarios that require extremely high flexibility or long-term exposure to extremely high temperatures. At this time, the applicability of silicone materials should be evaluated.

Before construction, it is necessary to ensure that the surface of the PCBA is clean and dry, free of solder residue and oil stains, to ensure adhesion. It is recommended to use a dedicated spray gun or selective coating equipment for uniform adhesive application, with a recommended adhesive layer thickness of 25-75 microns. In daily maintenance, if repair is required, special adhesive remover or local heating softening can be used to remove it, and care should be taken to avoid damaging the solder pads. Common faults such as incomplete curing are often caused by energy attenuation or insufficient irradiation time of ultraviolet lamps, and regular testing of light source intensity is necessary. When stored, it should be sealed and kept away from light, and stored in a cool place. The shelf life is usually 12 months.
