Coated steel pipe, also known as coated pipe, steel plastic composite pipe, or coated composite steel pipe, is a steel plastic composite steel pipe that uses a steel pipe as the substrate and fuses a plastic anti-corrosion layer on the inner surface of the steel pipe (bottom pipe) or on the inner and outer surfaces through spraying, rolling, immersion, and suction processes. Coated steel pipes have excellent corrosion resistance and relatively low friction resistance. Epoxy resin coated steel pipes are suitable for transporting media such as water supply and drainage, seawater, warm water, oil, and gas, while polyvinyl chloride coated steel pipes are suitable for transporting media such as drainage, seawater, oil, and gas.




The main processes for coating inner and outer plastic pipes include electrostatic spraying and hot-dip molding. Generally, electrostatic spraying is suitable for pipe requirements in any field, while hot-dip molding can be used in fields such as fire protection and cable conduit. The basic process is as follows: first, ordinary steel pipes are subjected to a series of pretreatment processes including chamfering and deburring, end face leveling, sandblasting and rust removal, followed by preheating to a temperature of 220 ℃. Then, the preheated steel pipes are electrostatically sprayed or immersed in polyethylene powder. If the product is sprayed with epoxy resin, it needs to be sent to a curing furnace for curing. The curing temperature requirement is around 280 ℃. After four hours, the product can be removed and repaired, and the product processing is completed. There are also many details that need to be paid attention to in the processing technology, such as uniform coating of the plastic layer, spraying on every part, controlling the immersion time, etc. To make a good product, you need to choose high-quality epoxy or polyethylene powder, and then have advanced process technology and equipment support.
