If the surface drying of the primer is slow, an electric light bulb can be used to accelerate the surface drying, and methods such as fire baking cannot be used to accelerate the surface drying, otherwise it will damage the paint film and affect the bonding strength. (5) It is recommended to perform external repairs immediately after welding, utilizing the residual heat of welding to ensure that the pre-treatment is above the dew point and accelerate the surface drying of the primer. However, construction should be carried out only when the temperature at the welding site drops below 80 degrees Celsius. (6) After brushing the primer, clean the brush with thinner and prepare for the next use. 3. Wrap heat shrink sleeve (1) After the paint film surface dries, wrap heat shrink sleeve immediately, with an interval of no more than 10 minutes. (2) The width of the heat shrink sleeve should ensure that it can completely cover the areas with burrs on both sides after winding. Generally, the thickness should be controlled to be 5-10cm greater than the width of the exposed part of the steel pipe plus the width of the burrs on both sides.
