Description :
Working principle of magnetostrictive level gauge:
The magnetostrictive liquid level gauge consists of three parts: a detection rod, a circuit unit, and a float. During measurement, the circuit unit generates a current pulse that propagates downwards along the magnetostrictive line and generates a circular magnetic field. A float is installed outside the detection rod, which moves up and down along the detection rod with the change of liquid level. Due to the presence of a set of permanent magnets inside the float, it simultaneously generates a magnetic field. When the current magnetic field meets the float magnetic field, a "twisted" pulse, also known as a "return" pulse, is generated. Convert the time difference between the "return" pulse and the current pulse into a pulse signal to calculate the actual position of the float and measure the liquid level.

The advantages of using magnetostrictive level gauges for measuring oil tank levels are as follows:
1. Strong reliability: Due to the waveguide principle used in magnetostrictive liquid level gauges, there are no mechanical movable parts, so there is no friction or wear. The entire converter is enclosed in a stainless steel tube, which is non-contact with the measuring medium. The sensor works reliably and has a long service life.
2. High accuracy: Due to the use of waveguide pulses in magnetostrictive liquid level gauges, the measured displacement is determined by measuring the time of the starting and ending pulses during operation. Therefore, the measurement accuracy is high, with a resolution better than 0.01% FS, which is difficult to achieve with other sensors.
3. Good safety: The magnetostrictive level gauge has high explosion-proof performance, intrinsic safety, and safe use, especially suitable for measuring chemical raw materials and flammable liquids. There is no need to open the can lid during measurement to avoid the safety hazards of manual measurement.
4. Magnetostrictive level gauges are easy to install and maintain: Magnetostrictive level gauges are generally installed through existing pipe openings on the top of the tank, and are particularly suitable for the installation of underground and operational storage tanks, without affecting normal production during the installation process.
5. Facilitating system automation work: The secondary instrument of the magnetostrictive level gauge adopts standard output signals, which are easy for the microcomputer to process the signals and achieve networking work, improving the automation level of the entire measurement system.
