Before using the pneumatic chain saw, the saw teeth of the saw chain should be ground:
(1) The serrations must be kept sharp so that the saw chain remains in place throughout the cutting operation.
(2) When filing the saw teeth, smoothly push it forward in one direction, and when pushing the file back, do not touch the blade. Do not bounce back and forth.
(3) After filing the saw teeth two or three times, the rake also needs to be slightly lowered. The toothed rake plays a role in measuring the depth of the blade. When the height of the tooth cutter decreases, it causes the inability to cut. The solution is to first use a flat file to grind the upper part of the tooth rake so that it is about 0.5mm lower than the tip of the tooth cutter. Be careful not to file the tooth rake too much, otherwise the tooth cutter will be sawed too deep at once, causing the chain saw to get stuck during cutting.
