XBD-DL series single suction multi-stage fire pump: 1. Overview XBD-DL series pump is a single suction multi-stage segmented vertical fire pump, which is a new product developed based on extensive investigations of national fire departments, design institutes, institutes, and users from all walks of life, as well as the characteristics of fire engineering. This pump is suitable for fire protection engineering in high-rise buildings, residential complexes, hotels, and various other buildings.
The main feature of this series of pumps is a wide range of flow and head selection. The rated flow rate can range from 1.72 liters per second to 80 liters per second, and the rated outlet pressure can be selected from 0.23-2.67 MPa.
The standard implemented by this series of pumps is GB6245-1998 "Performance Requirements and Test Methods for Fire Pumps"
2. Structural description of the pump
The suction port of this type of pump is located on the suction section, in a horizontal direction; Spit out in a horizontal direction on the spit out segment.
The main components of a water pump include: suction section, middle section, discharge section, impeller, guide vanes, discharge section guide vanes, shaft balance drum, shaft sleeve, bearing, and connecting frame.
A、 The suction section, middle section, guide vanes, discharge section guide vanes, and discharge section are all made of cast iron, forming the working chamber of the pump together.
b、 Due to the unequal compression of the impeller, there is inevitably an axial force, which is borne by the flat drum, and the remaining small residual axial force is borne by the centripetal thrust ball bearing at the upper end. The impeller undergoes a static balance test during manufacturing.
c、 The shaft is made of quenched and tempered carbon steel or stainless steel, with an impeller, a flat key, a shaft sleeve, and a shaft sleeve nut fixed to the shaft in the middle. One end of the shaft is equipped with a coupling component, which is elastically connected to the motor.
d、 When the shaft seal is a mechanical seal, the pressure water in the balance chamber is used for lubrication and cooling. When the shaft seal is a packing seal, the 3/8 hose joint on the discharge section is used to discharge the water leaked from the packing body into the trench through the hose to maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding area.
To ensure that the pump can start quickly after being parked for a long time, the impeller, shaft sleeve and other parts are made of cast iron or bronze, and the balance drum is made of cast iron or stainless steel. The cast iron parts have undergone corrosion resistance tests.
Packing seal consists of packing chamber, packing gland, and packing, etc. The tightness of the packing must be appropriate, neither too tight nor too loose. It is recommended that the liquid can seep out drop by drop. If the packing is too tight, the shaft sleeve is prone to heating and consumes more power. If the packing is too loose, it will reduce the efficiency of the water pump due to liquid loss.
