To overcome the above drawbacks of ABS, polycarbonate (PC) is generally blended with ABS to produce PC/ABS alloy, with a mass ratio of 70/30 for PC/ABS.
This ratio takes into account the influence of factors such as thickness and temperature on the impact performance.
This alloy combines the formability of ABS material with the mechanical properties, impact strength, temperature resistance, UV resistance, and other properties of PC, and can be widely used in automotive interior parts, various machines, communication equipment, household appliances, and lighting equipment.
Automotive interior and exterior: dashboard, decorative pillars, dashboard front cover, grille, interior and exterior parts
Business equipment chassis and built-in components: laptops/desktop computers, copiers, printers, plotters, monitors
Telecommunications, mobile phone casings, accessories, and smart cards (SIM cards).

Household appliances: washing machine, hair dryer, microwave oven internal and external components
Process conditions for PC/ABS injection molding:
Drying treatment must be done before processing. The humidity should be less than 0.04%, and it is recommended to dry under conditions of 90-110 ℃ for 2-4 hours;
The melting temperature is 230~300 ℃;
Mold temperature: 50~100 ℃.
The injection pressure depends on the different plastic parts.
The injection speed should be as high as possible.
Chemical and physical properties: PC/ABS has a comprehensive characteristic of both PC and ABS. For example, the easy processing characteristics of ABS and the excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability of PC. The ratio of the two will affect the thermal stability of PC/ABS materials. The PC/ABS hybrid material also exhibits excellent fluidity. The shrinkage rate is around 0.5%.
