Optical grade PC LED-2245 German Covestro high transparency low viscosity lens
PC has excellent performance, high transparency, good impact toughness, creep resistance, and a wide temperature range for use.
Process characteristics of PC: The melt viscosity is less sensitive to shear rate and more sensitive to temperature, with no obvious melting point. The melt viscosity is high, and the resin is prone to hydrolysis at high temperatures, resulting in cracking of the product.
Key points of PC injection molding process:
1. PC is extremely sensitive to water, so it must be thoroughly dried before injection molding to reduce its moisture content to below 0.02% General drying conditions for PC: 100-120 ℃, for at least 4 hours.
2. PC is also very sensitive to temperature, and the viscosity of the melt decreases significantly with increasing temperature. The temperature of the barrel is 250-320 ℃ (Do not exceed 350 ℃), increasing the temperature of the material barrel appropriately is beneficial for PC plasticization
3. Mold temperature control: 85-120 ℃. High mold temperature can reduce the difference between mold temperature and PC material temperature, which can reduce the internal stress of the parts
4. Poor fluidity, requiring high-pressure injection, but taking into account the residual internal stress of the rubber parts (which may cause cracking), injection speed: medium speed for wall thickness and high speed for wall thickness
5. If necessary, perform internal stress annealing at an oven temperature of 125~135 ℃ for 2 hours, and cool naturally to room temperature
