1、 Product Introduction
PC has outstanding impact toughness and excellent electrical insulation, but it also has certain defects such as susceptibility to stress cracking, sensitivity to notches, poor wear resistance, and poor processing fluidity, which need to be improved.
The compatibility between PC and PE is poor, and insufficient mixing during their blending can easily lead to significant delamination. The material modified by blending the two has improved impact resistance, boiling water resistance, processing flowability, heat resistance, and weather resistance.
The compatibility between PC and ABS is poor, and in order to obtain a high-performance blend, a compatibilizer is needed to improve the compatibility between the two. PC/ABS blend is one of the earliest commercially produced PC modified products. The impact strength, bending strength, tensile strength, and hot deformation temperature of the blend have all greatly improved.
PC is an amorphous polymer, while PET and PBT are crystalline polymers, so their combination is a typical amorphous/crystalline polymer blend system. Producing a blend of PET and PBT poses certain difficulties as the crystallization of PET and PBT leads to poor interfacial bonding, resulting in a decrease in impact strength. Therefore, a third component needs to be added to improve the situation. When blending the two, the raw materials should be thoroughly dried and avoid excessive temperature and prolonged residence in a heated state to prevent lipid exchange and performance degradation.
