When filling the mold at low speed, the flow rate is stable, the product size is relatively stable, the fluctuation is small, the internal stress of the product is low, and the stress inside and outside the product tends to be consistent (for example, when a certain polycarbonate component is immersed in carbon tetrachloride, the component formed by high-speed injection molding tends to crack, while the low-speed component does not crack).
Under relatively slow filling conditions, the temperature difference of the material flow, especially the large temperature difference between the material before and after the gate, helps to avoid shrinkage and depression. However, due to the prolonged filling time, it is easy to cause delamination and poor bonding of the parts, which not only affects the appearance but also greatly reduces the mechanical strength.
When injecting at high speed, the material flow rate is fast. When the high-speed filling of the mold is smooth, the molten material quickly fills the mold cavity, resulting in less decrease in material temperature and viscosity. Lower injection pressure can be used, which is a hot material filling situation. High speed mold filling can improve the glossiness and smoothness of the parts, eliminate the phenomenon of seam lines and delamination, reduce shrinkage and depression, ensure uniform color, and ensure fullness for a large part of the parts.
