1、 Product Introduction
Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) has good thermal stability and is not only an important engineering plastic, but also used separately in the preparation of high-temperature filter media. Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fibers have a long research history abroad. In 1975, foreign companies began researching PPS spinning, and in 1979, Phillips began developing fiber grade PPS resin. It was not until 1983 that PPS short fibers were industrialized for production. Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) has excellent heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and flame retardancy, and is widely used in fields such as electronics and electrical appliances, automotive industry, chemical industry, textile industry, etc. The global manufacturers of polyphenylene sulfide are mainly located in Japan, the United States, China, and Germany, with Japan accounting for over 50% of the global PPS production capacity.
Polyphenylene sulfide, also known as polyphenylene sulfide, is a thermoplastic resin with a phenylene sulfide group in its main chain. Polyphenylene sulfide is a crystalline polymer. Untrained fibers have a large amorphous region (with a crystallinity of about 5%), which undergoes crystallization heat release at 125 ℃ and a glass transition temperature of 150 ℃; Melting point 281 ℃. During the stretching process, the stretched fibers produce partial crystallization (increasing to 30%). If the stretched fibers are heat-treated at a temperature of 130-230 ℃, the crystallinity can be increased to 60-80%. Therefore, the stretched fibers do not exhibit significant glass transition or crystallization heat release, and their melting point is 284 ℃. With the increase of crystallinity after stretching and heat setting, the density of fibers also increases accordingly, from 1.33g/cm3 before stretching to 1.34g/cm3 after stretching, and can reach 1.38g/cm3 after heat treatment. Molding shrinkage rate: 0.7% Molding temperature: 300-330 ℃.
PPS is a special engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive performance. PPS has excellent characteristics such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, flame retardancy, balanced physical and mechanical properties, excellent dimensional stability, and excellent electrical properties. It is widely used as a structural polymer material and is widely used as a special engineering plastic after filling and modification. At the same time, various functional films, coatings, and composite materials can be made, which have been successfully applied in fields such as electronics, aerospace, and automotive transportation. Domestic enterprises are actively researching and developing, and have initially formed a certain production capacity, changing the previous situation of completely relying on imports. However, there are still problems with PPS technology in China, such as a limited variety of products, a shortage of high-performance products, and an urgent need to expand production capacity. These will be the focus of PPS's next development.
