LCP brand knowledge expansion:
Seranis further improved on the research results of Gordon, Calundann, and others, and began producing Type II LCP with HBA/HNA backbone in 1985, under the brand name Vectra. After years of development, it is no longer simply Type II LCP, but a vast series covering Type I, Type II, and Type III LCP.
Later, the engineering polymer division under Celanese established Ticona, inheriting the brand and becoming a global LCP manufacturer.
The Zenite series is an original DuPont product, which was acquired by Serenis in May 2010 and falls under the scope of Tecona's business. It is worth noting that the LCP with the brand name Titan, launched by Eastman Company at the end of the 20th century, was transferred to DuPont in 2003 and incorporated into the Zenite series.
Japan Baoli began importing and selling LCP in 1985, and established the Fuji factory in 1996, which has an annual production capacity of 2800 tons of LCP polymer production line. After several expansions, its current annual production capacity has reached 15000 tons.
According to Baoli's information, its two major shareholders are Daicel Co., Ltd. (holding 55% of the shares) and Seranis (holding 45% of the shares). Combined with the relevant information that Baoli produced LCP under the Vectra brand in 1996, it can be speculated that Baoli's LAPEROS series and Seranis' Xydar series have a significant connection.
