      Pei polyetherimide expands knowledge:

PEI is a thermoplastic engineering resin with excellent stability and performance

One outstanding performance of PEI resin is its ability to withstand long-term high temperature tests.

This high heat resistance, combined with excellent flammability and UL laboratory certification, makes PEI resin meet the demanding requirements of high-temperature applications.

PEI resin not only has unparalleled characteristics of high strength and high modulus, but also has outstanding ductility. Its yield tensile extension allows it to freely combine various snap fit designs that are easy to assemble. Even with only 10% glass fiber reinforcement added, PEI 2100 resin can maintain ductility in the temperature range below zero to 200 ℃.

PEI 1000 resin has excellent practical impact resistance. Given that PEI resin exhibits notch sensitivity, it is recommended to follow standard design principles. The application force concentration points (such as sharp corners) in injection molded parts should be minimized to provide impact strength. PEI AT * 100 resin is specifically designed for applications that require high impact performance. The Izod impact of this series can reach 15km/m.

Fatigue resistance is an essential design consideration for cyclic loading or swinging components.

When considering the mechanical properties of any thermoplastic, designers must recognize the impact of temperature, stress levels, and load duration on material properties. PEI resin also exhibits excellent creep resistance at temperatures and stress levels that cannot be used with many other thermoplastic materials.

PEI resin has excellent electrical properties and can maintain stability under a wide range of environmental conditions. In addition, the thermal and mechanical properties make PEI resin an ideal choice for highly demanding electronic and electrical applications.

Although applications may require absolute values of relative permittivity that are either high or low, what is essential for regeneration is that these values remain stable throughout the entire temperature and/or frequency range of use.
