    Description :

The piston assembly of the mud pump is a core vulnerable component in the oil drilling fluid circulation system, mainly installed on the hydraulic end of the F series drilling pump. Its core function is to form a high-pressure sealing chamber through the tight fit between the cup and the cylinder liner under the reciprocating drive of the piston rod, thereby inhaling and discharging high-density drilling mud. This component directly withstands the impact of high pressure, high wear, and corrosive media, and its performance stability directly determines the continuity and efficiency of drilling operations. The piston assembly made of high-quality polyurethane material is designed to solve the problems of short service life and fast sealing failure of traditional rubber parts under harsh working conditions, and is suitable for high-pressure mud transportation conditions of various land and marine oil drilling platforms.

The F-series drilling pump skin bowl is made of high-strength polyurethane elastomer as raw material, which is molded through high-temperature compression vulcanization process and has excellent physical and mechanical properties. The typical hardness range is controlled between Shore A 90-95 degrees, ensuring sufficient support strength while retaining necessary elasticity to accommodate micro deformations on the inner wall of the cylinder liner. The execution standard refers to the API 7K specification and industry general technical conditions, with strict dimensional tolerances controlled within ± 0.5mm to ensure reasonable fit clearance with standard cylinder liners. The product has undergone strict tests for oil resistance, aging resistance, and wear resistance. Its tensile strength is usually greater than 30MPa, and its tear strength is higher than 80kN/m. It can maintain a stable sealing effect in environments below 150 ℃ for a long time and adapt to complex temperature changes in oil fields.

When selecting, it is important to confirm the specific model of the drilling pump (such as F-500, F-800, F-1000, etc.) and the diameter specifications of the cylinder liner. The piston assembly size of pumps of different tonnages varies greatly and cannot be used interchangeably. Polyurethane piston assemblies are particularly suitable for drilling fluid environments with high solid content and high abrasion. Compared to ordinary nitrile rubber cups, their wear resistance life can be increased by 2-3 times. But if the working medium contains strong oxidizing chemicals or the working temperature exceeds 120 ℃ for a long time, it is recommended to evaluate special fluororubber or hydrogenated nitrile materials. When purchasing, it is necessary to distinguish between single acting and double acting structures, and check whether the piston core material is high-quality 45 grade steel or alloy steel to ensure the overall fatigue strength of the structure.

Before installing the piston assembly of the mud pump, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the inner wall of the cylinder liner, apply special lubricating grease, and strictly prohibit dry friction starting to prevent the cup from flipping or early wear. In daily maintenance, the pressure fluctuation and leakage of the mud pump should be regularly monitored. Once a decrease in displacement or leakage of mud at the seal is found, the machine should be stopped in time to check the wear condition of the piston cup and the tightness of the clamp. It is recommended to establish a regular replacement cycle, usually preventive replacement after 500-800 hours of cumulative operation, to avoid unexpected failures that may cause unplanned drilling stoppages. When stored, it should be placed in a cool and dry place, avoiding direct sunlight and ozone erosion, to prevent hydrolysis or hardening failure of polyurethane materials.
