Description :
A dry powder fire truck is a specialized fire extinguishing vehicle mainly equipped with a dry powder fire extinguishing agent tank, a complete set of dry powder spraying devices, and a vehicle chassis. This model is built on the heavy-duty chassis of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, and has strong off-road passability and load-bearing capacity. It is specifically used to extinguish fires caused by flammable liquids, gases, and live equipment in places such as petroleum, chemical, oil depots, and gas stations. Hubei Jiulong Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. is equipped with heavy-duty truck chassis for installation and modification, ensuring that vehicles can quickly reach the scene and carry out efficient firefighting operations in complex fire environments. It is one of the core equipment for urban fire brigades and large industrial enterprise dedicated fire brigades.
This car usually adopts the chassis of the Heavy Duty Truck HOWO or Steyr series, with strong engine power and driving forms of 4 × 2 or 6 × 4 to meet different load requirements. The upper part includes a large capacity dry powder tank, with a common capacity of 2000kg to 5000kg. The material is mostly carbon steel or stainless steel, which has undergone anti-corrosion treatment. Equipped with a nitrogen cylinder group as the driving gas, the working pressure is usually between 1.2MPa and 1.8MPa. The spraying system includes a dry powder cannon, a handheld spray gun, and a connecting hose. The range of the dry powder cannon can reach over 30 meters, and the spraying rate can be adjusted according to the fire situation. The entire vehicle complies with national mandatory standards such as GB7956.1 "Fire Trucks Part 1: General Technical Conditions" and GB7956.12 "Fire Trucks Part 12: Dry Powder Fire Trucks", and has passed 3C certification to ensure that all performance indicators meet the standards.

When selecting, the dry powder loading capacity should be determined based on the fire hazard category of the protected object. For small gas stations or refueling stations, a vehicle model with a lightweight chassis and a dry powder tank of about 2 tons can be selected for flexibility and maneuverability; For large petrochemical bases or airports, vehicles with heavy-duty chassis, dry powder tanks of 4 tons or more, and high flow dry powder guns should be selected. It should be noted that the dry powder fire truck is mainly used for Class B (liquid), Class C (gas) fires and Class E (charged) fires. It has limited effect on Class A (solid) deep fire. It is generally recommended to work together with water tank fire truck or foam fire truck. When purchasing, special attention should be paid to the wheelbase of the chassis, tire configuration, as well as the sealing and pressure resistance level of the installed system, to avoid choosing vehicles modified by non-standard manufacturers.
In daily use, it is recommended to regularly check whether the dry powder in the dry powder tank has clumped. It is suggested to sun dry or replace the dry powder every six months to prevent moisture damage and failure. Nitrogen driven gas cylinders need to be regularly checked for pressure to ensure they are within the rated operating range. If insufficient pressure is found, they should be filled in a timely manner. After each use, residual dry powder in the powder gun, pipeline, and spray gun must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent nozzle blockage or corrosion of pipeline components. The chassis of the vehicle is regularly maintained according to the original maintenance manual of Heavy Duty Truck, with a focus on checking the brake system, steering system, and tire wear. When parked for a long time, the vehicle should be parked in a dry and ventilated place, and exposed metal parts should be treated with rust prevention to ensure that the vehicle is always in a state of readiness.
