Burial technology of inclinometer device
The burial technology of inclinometer mainly includes drilling and conduit connection technology, and its key lies in:
1. Accurate positioning. The inclinometer conduit should be buried in the plane position of the horizontal displacement of the foundation soil, generally at a position about 1.0m from the toe of the embankment slope or the outer edge of the upper mouth of the ditch.
2. Drill holes at the selected location, with a diameter of 40mm larger than the outer diameter of the inclinometer tube, and the vertical deviation of the drill hole should not exceed plus or minus 1 degree. When the depth of the borehole reaches a point where there is no horizontal displacement, it should be buried in a hard soil layer or bedrock for no less than 2 meters. Due to the sedimentation of the protective mud, the drilling depth should be about 20% greater than the design depth of the conduit.
When extending the pipeline, the guide groove should be strictly aligned and not twisted. In order to effectively monitor the deformation of the surrounding soil using the inclinometer tube, the body of the inclinometer tube must have the ability to adapt to settlement deformation. Therefore, a settlement section should be reserved at the joint of the tube body. The settlement section length of each pipeline should not exceed 10cm. When the estimated settlement cannot be met, the length of each pipeline section should be reduced.





4. The bottom of the inclinometer tube should be equipped with a bottom cover, and the connection between the bottom cover and each inclinometer tube should be sealed to prevent mud from seeping into the tube.
5. The burial process is as follows: Place the inclinometer conduit with a bottom cover into the borehole, connect the inclinometer conduit with a pipe joint, measure the length of the reserved section, and then rivet and seal it one by one while inserting it into the hole. Note that the pair of guide slots inside the inclinometer conduit should be close to the main direction of the expected displacement. During the process of drilling under the inclinometer conduit, clean water should be injected into the conduit to reduce the buoyancy generated by the water in the borehole and increase the burial speed. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the inside of the inclinometer tube is clean and tidy.
6. The guide groove should be strictly aligned with the desired direction using a theodolite.
The gap between the inclinometer conduit and the borehole wall can be filled with coarse sand.
After the burial is completed, the relevant information of the inclinometer conduit should be promptly recorded in the burial verification record form. The main contents of the verification form include: project name, instrument model, manufacturer, inclinometer hole number, hole depth, hole opening elevation, hole bottom elevation, burial location, burial method, guide groove direction, inclinometer conduit specifications, burial schematic diagram, main burial personnel, burial date, etc
After the inclinometer catheter is buried and stabilized for a period of time, the initial value can be established.
