According to the Surveying and Mapping Law, surveying markers refer to wooden targets, steel targets, and stone markers for triangulation points, baseline points, traverse points, control points, gravity points, astronomical points, leveling points, and satellite positioning points of various levels, as well as fixed markers and seabed facilities used for topographic mapping, engineering surveying, and deformation measurement. The working group conducted on-site inspections and verifications of the integrity of each marker, sign, protective disk, protective well, sign cover and other facilities, as well as the changes in the observation environment around the sign during the field survey. They signed a comprehensive storage agreement with the custodian one by one, confirmed the storage allowance, took on-site photos, filled out the inspection record ledger, and timely cleared the weeds and garbage within the land scope of the measurement marker points under the permission conditions. They comprehensively investigated the background of the measurement marker points and established a foundation for the next step of establishing a dynamic ledger of the surveying marker points. At the same time, the Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau also conducted internal inspections on the bureaus (sub bureaus) of various cities (districts) under its jurisdiction, verifying the storage agreements of surveying and mapping signs, custodian information, and custodian allowance payments.
According to relevant sources, the bureau will include the management of surveying and mapping markers in the assessment of surveying and mapping work in various cities (districts) in the future, establish and improve a long-term mechanism, and ensure the safety and effectiveness of surveying markers throughout the area.
