From the perspective of blast furnace production, according to monitoring data from the Lange Steel Cloud Platform, as of January 7, 2022, the blast furnace operating rate of major steel companies surveyed by Lange Steel Network was 72.3%, an increase of 1.8 percentage points from early December 2021. From the production data of key steel enterprises compiled by the China Iron and Steel Association, it can also be seen that production has increased. In late December 2021, the daily production of pig iron by key steel enterprises was 1.886 million tons, an increase of 254000 tons from late November; The daily production of crude steel per ten days was 2.092 million tons, an increase of 375000 tons from late November; All have returned to the level of August. Although the steel production of key enterprises in early January 2022 has decreased compared to late December last year, it is still significantly higher than the previous level. The second reason is the increase in raw material stocking demand from steel mills during the New Year and Spring Festival holidays, which has driven the iron ore market prices to fluctuate upwards. Third, the rainstorm in Brazil and the seasonal hurricane in Australia in the first quarter increased the market's expectation of the impact on the iron ore supply side.
