(2) Observation point observation description
In field work, it is necessary to carefully record and describe various geological phenomena and mineral conditions observed in the form of text or sketches in a field record book or digital photographs. The field record book is an extremely important source of data, and the content recorded should generally cover all geological phenomena observed. Important or observed geological phenomena should be described in detail, while general phenomena or previously described content on this route can be simplified. Emphasis should be placed on recording the special characteristics or changes that occur, achieving accurate textual expression, highlighting key points, and clarifying priorities. At the same time, field records can also appropriately record the analysis, judgment, reasoning, and comprehensive induction of objective geological phenomena by observers. At the end of each route, a route summary must be written.
The field record book is not allowed to be altered arbitrarily. If the recorded content is inappropriate, the original content can only be crossed out and annotated next to it. Records must be written with a 2H-3H pencil, and the writing should be neat and clear. Ballpoint pens or fountain pens are not allowed to be used for recording.
The characteristics of observation points include boundary points, structural points, lithological points, mineral points, geomorphological points, Quaternary geological points, and hydrogeological points. 1. Geological boundary points
